Is laughing instinctal or acquired

When i was in Greekclass I was very bored and then suddenly this question crossed my mind
I mean; "Has anyone ever seen a laughing Animal? '' ,apart from those funny bulldogs or chimpansees, -cause i dont really think we can call that a laugh- I havent...
But laughing happens among people all over the world, Right?
Well maybe its just the sad truth that animals dont really have like Jokes or funny things.
Im afraid we will never know the answer...
